COHORT

Built Like Jesus

A 6 week cohort for pastors and entrepreneurs.

Deeply understand how Christ has gifted you to lead like Him in the church, the marketplace, and beyond.

You know you're gifted.

But it all feels a little fuzzy.

And even more challenging is translating what the Bible says about leadership and discipleship in varied settings (in the church it's a little easier, but what about in the marketplace)?

Pulling from the foundational work of Alan Hirsch and the book of Ephesians, we can understand the unique and specific ways Christ has created each of us to lead and work together in ways that show Jesus to the world.

In this cohort, we help you grasp a practical Biblical understanding about how you are gifted, and we provide language that translates in and outside of church settings. You'll learn how to foster and encourage those gifts in the lives of your team and your church.

Apply this in ministry.

  • Recognize the unique gifts of your team and congregation.

  • Appreciate alternative perspectives in a meaningful way

  • Turn tension and offense into grace-filled interactions that build one another up

  • Recognize gaps in capacity and express Jesus to your community in fullness

  • Apply Biblical metrics for how your team makes decisions and separates priorities

Apply this in the marketplace.

  • Recognize the gifts of your team in language built for the workplace

  • Apply a framework for alternative perspectives that rises above personalities or preferences

  • Transition tensions into productive conversations that create a unified team

  • Identify gaps in your team for better outcomes

  • Build strategy and make decisions based upon Biblical values that are safe for any stage of the faith journey

  • See how teams in the marketplace can function more like Jesus

How you are wired to lead like Jesus.

David Mills

What do you do with someone who went to Bible College and has a Master's Degree in both Counseling and Public Administration? Someone who has pastored, built nonprofit social service programs, and launched businesses? It’s proof that God has a sense of humor because what might look like a strange list of experiences is actually the chapters of a story about the Kingdom of God breaking down barriers.

Get practical with a master of innovation.

Dave operates on an enduring belief that Jesus wants to unleash the church in a culture that needs God. That drive led to the creation of the Founder’s Table Network as a tool that reconnects churches and entrepreneurs to help them reach across the secular-sacred divide and to re-enchant entrepreneurs with God and His mission.

David brings a wealth of training and experience from the worlds of ministry and business to the work of Founder’s Table Network. He has planted churches, worked in national ministries, and served as a founder of multiple tech-related businesses all to build bridges that unlock access to God’s purposes in unexpected places.

Entrepreneurial Mindset

Amy Alexander

Amy started her entrepreneurial career at a young age, with an Associates in Graphic Design and a dangerous amount of enthusiasm. Born into the home of a church-planter turned entrepreneur, there seemed no better way to live than with a head full of ideas and a healthy tolerance for risk.

Align your team with NextGen entrepreneurial thinking.

After a stint in the public university marketing space, she co-founded an agency with her father, David Mills. Amy quickly discovered that her corporate and minstry life were never allowed in the same room. Coupled with the birth of her twin girls, she began to ask what it would mean to be a whole person in every part of her life. Could the sacred/secular divide be dissolved?

And after ten years of Creative Directing and fifteen years of worship leading, a new dream was forming. She and Dave launched Founder’s Table Network out of a deep calling to bring the Kingdom of God into the marketplace, and to disciple entrepreneurs as the missionaries they were always meant to be.

Amy, and husband Chad, homeschool their daughters in Fredericksburg, VA.

FAQs

What is the cost?
Each seat in the cohort is $149. However, a free seat is included in every Founder's Table grant. That free seat can be used by the facilitator or the pastor.
Who is the corporate sponsor?
This is a cohort developed and gifted to Founder's Table Network by Brand Disciples.
What is MPACT?
MPACT is a highly normed and deeply developed inventory based upon the Ephesians 4 APEST model. The team at MPACT has helped countless teams (in and outside of church) understand their gifts and has worked closely with Alan Hirsch, whose extensive theological work on the five-fold ministry has been instrumental in unleashing the fullness of Jesus in the church, using marketplace language. This allows us to think and act biblically, but speak in ways that the marketplace understands.
When is the cohort?
This cohort repeats every 6 weeks. When you sign up you'll have the option to choose a start date that works for your schedule.
What if there are unbelievers in my business team?
MPACT is built for this exact scenario. While all concepts are deeply anchored in scripture, the language is designed to help your team at any stage of discipleship. That means if you have team members walking away from Jesus you can still call out created gifts in them that bring value to the team and unify your efforts. They also aid you in a safe starting point for conversations about Jesus as you're led to do so.
WHO WE ARE

The Founder’s Table is Changing the Paradigm

We believe that God is on the move in the hearts of business owners. And we believe that our culture is at a tipping point moment with microenterprises (businesses with 0-10 employees) as God calls them to become the tip of the spear for the Gospel in every community and every church. The Founder’s Table Network is a curriculum that is integrated in the local church and designed to anchor the movemental force of entrepreneurs to your church.
